Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy and Autism

The latest alternative treatment for autism is hyperbaric oxygen therapy. John and Tricia Polchowski had tried everything from medications to a specialized diet for their son John, who was diagnosed with autism at age two. They were told their child would never talk or have friends. But, the Polchowskis didn’t give up. One day, some Internet research led them to a hyperbaric chamber. Hyperbaric therapy, aka hyperbaric oxygen therapy, uses an increase in atmospheric pressure to allow the body to incorporate more oxygen into blood cells, therefore helping the brain. more on autism
