Aspergers autism is linked to autism in the sense that all the sufferers cannot relate to people; they display distinct social, and language difficulties, as well as a limit to the imagination. They display completely different characteristics in the sense that they are very bright.
Aspergers autism sufferers do not relate to people they relate to things and objects. Communication is not a means to express how they feel, as they often do not know how they feel. The condition is not life threatening, it is a syndrome not a disease. However there are other complications, depression, irrational obsessive and compulsive behavior and abrupt mood swings. Aspergers autism also causes anxiety the sufferers’ know that they have a degree of social impairment, they are aware that they are different and this leads to stress and the inability to cope.
A positive aspect of Aspergers autism is that they excel and over achieve in the areas of sciences where social interaction is irrelevant. They can utilize their thirst for knowledge and intense focused concentration to learn.
